Why so many yes answers to this? Am i the only one who thinks this INGENIOUS trigger warning outlet is being purposefully trolled more & more lately. The purpose is NOT to be misleading. And THAT is very misleading. Smfh

A large snake is placed on a girl's legs. I'm not afraid of snakes, so I don't know how intense that scene would be for others. To me, it was tame and didn't last very long.

There isn’t technically any adult/minor sexual content, but her aunt is constantly sexualizing her and also enjoys watching her get assaulted and raped

It's based on Jack Ketchum's book of the same title. Loosely inspired by the torture & murder of Sylvia Likens. The entire plot revolves around a teenager being tortured, mutilated, and repeatedly sexually assaulted by other children (either her age or younger). So, yes, someone is definitely tortured. That's the entire point.

A cop just kind of pops in and doesn't help anyone until its too late. Using the word "help" very loosely. So even if the audience is supposed to see him in a positive light, it didn't work.

Very sad. It’s based on a true story, so I recommend reading about the real girl once you’re done watching because it’s horrible what happened to her.

The only gun is a plastic toy revolver that's used for a joke on "shooting the eye out" of a teddy bear.
