Washington, D.C. psychologist Carol Bennell and her colleague Dr. Ben Driscoll are the only two people on Earth who are aware of an epidemic running rampant through the city. They discover an alien virus aboard a crashed space shuttle that transforms anyone who comes into contact with it into unfeeling drones while they sleep. Carol realizes her son holds the key to stopping the spread of the plague and she races to find him before it is too late.
This movie contains 3 potentially triggering events.
A woman explains in detail how her husband killed her dog (death is not shown). The dog’s body is later shown hitting Nicole Kidman’s windshield. There is another scene of a dog attacking a boy and he gets fought off, honestly I’m not sure what happened to that dog because I fast-forwarded the scene.
An infected child gets pushed into a wooden bed frame and hits his head, knocking him unconscious. An uninfected child gets choked with a metal pipe for a few seconds and then later also gets knocked unconscious.
It happens throughout the movie as those who are infected v*mit to infect others. People can be seen v*miting into other people’s mouths and it’s pretty graphic. I do not recommend this movie if you are sensitive to this topic.
When Nicole Kidman is driving in the tunnel with her son, a woman gets hit by a car being driven by one of the infected. You see the impact but it is not bloody or gory.
