Joe Toy, on the verge of adolescence, finds himself increasingly frustrated by his single father, Frank's attempts to manage his life. Declaring his freedom once and for all, he escapes to a clearing in the woods with his best friend, Patrick, and a strange kid named Biaggio. He announces that they are going to build a house there, free from responsibility and parents. Once their makeshift abode is finished, the three young men find themselves masters of their own destiny, alone in the woods.
This movie contains 16 potentially triggering events.
1. A baby bunny is killed with a sword. We don't see the actual killing but we hear a horrible cry of pain from the dying animal. The following scene depicts very graphically how the teenage boy skins and cuts the poor thing. He then starts to cook it and throws the severed and bloody head through a basketball hoop. A quick research showed that it was in fact a real rabbit that was skinned. 2. A snake is decapitated with a machete (wtf) after biting one of the characters. 3. it is implied that one of the protagonists caught and ate a mouse. 4. We hear two characters talk about a pet turtle that was "tied to a kite and sent to space" by stupid children. It died because of this fucked up shit
A small rabbit is killed and skinned very graphically. At least the latter was a real rabbit as a quick research shows. Also a snake is decapitated with a machete
Biaggio says they don't feel like they have a gender and Joe says "that's not going to work" or something like that. Every character calls Biaggio he throughout and it's unclear whether it's misgendering
There absolutely is. There's a scene where a man and woman are making out in their underwear about to have sex (they run away upon seeing Joe sleeping nearby)
