a skull (i think stated that he used to live/work at the castle) desperately wants 'wine' that a character offers to it, despite not being able to taste or feel or actually smell it. if i remember correctly he's not even given wine, he's just told the bottle has it and begs for it and is elated when he gets it

A tree makes very unwanted romantic advances on schmendric, to the point of being jealous of the unicorn. It's played to be funny, i think, though schmendric is bound, uncomfortable, and clearly not happy with the situation.

two named antagonists die, though their actual death's aren't shown. a side character sacrifices himself and falls to the ground, though its not stated weather he's dead or unconscious. He is revived/healed by the unicorn. in the end, its acknowledged that the unicorn will outlive the humans she's loved

The closest instances of this are The Unicorn exclaiming how she can feel her mortal, human body “dying all around me!” and King Haggard saying that when he first saw unicorns he was so happy “I thought I was going to die.”

Technically, there is. Lir is about twenty or so, and the Unicorn is several centuries old. "Amalthea" looks to be Lir's age, though, and there's none of the power imbalance this trope could imply.

One of the main characters is tied to a tree. The tree comes to life via magic and grows huge bo0bs and the person tied to the tree is kind of squished against them while the tree declares her undying love for him and rubs him. It’s weirdly sexual and definitely made me uncomfortable as a kid.

the unicorn is turned human and therefore isnt dressed for the scene of her realizing what's happened. Her friends cover her with a cloak shortly after and she recieves proper clothes from then on.
breasts are shown on nonhuman things, first on the harpy which has 3, but the bird is scary enough itself that some might not notice. Second is the tree, which has big weird almost square? b***s with no nips, but the scene with her is extremely uncomfortable

Not in the usual ways, and not as bad as it could be. However, the "titty tree" as my friend group dubbed her was alarming. This is a tree with huge breasts that a main character is held against, and it made all watching very uncomfortable. There's a less sexualized instance of breasts on the harpy, who has three of them. This isn't pointed out by anyone, and several friends didn't notice. When a character is naked (for magical reasons) nobody oogles her, etc, and there aren't any weirdly angled shots.

mortality, legacy, and point/purpose are the main themes of the film and cannot be avoided. it's not a pessimistic perspective though, as the main characters end the film presumably content, its mostly side characters they meet that have more trouble with the ideas of death and how the world will see them when they're gone
