John James is a writer; his wife has left him. He moves with his two middle-school children to an isolated house off a dirt road in South Carolina. The property has an Indian burial mound, which fascinates his daughter, Louisa, who's entering puberty.

The entire plot of this movie is the daughter, early on, is assaulted by a group of lizard like monsters that live in the mound. Her acting weird is her being pregnant, and it also shows a scene after the implied assault of her bleeding. It is really disgusting without any reason, and I am shocked there aren’t more ”yes” votes on here concerning, well, the entire plot. I would absolutely not recommend giving this movie any attention or money.
