Maybe kind of? A man talks about how his stepmother scared him as a child and was controlling. As an adult he lets her live with him and seems to be more empathetic to her even though he's uncomfortable to be around her at first.

Main character's stepmother is constantly manipulating him and his wife to believe things about her, her life, her health, that aren't true. She pretends to be beaten up or pushed over a few times, plays the victim, then smiles when she gets the attention and sympathy and her stepson can't see.

Not through injury, but as the movie goes on old lady's teeth look chipped and one is missing. It's not clear why.

Some blood, but more than that, there is EXCESSIVE urine and feces shown throughout the film (in toilets, on bedding, on sofas, smeared on walls and picture frames) - wouldn't recommend this movie for anyone squeamish

It's a big theme in the movie. Multiple scenes of poop stains on bedding, clothes, photo frames, etc and someone wiping them clean. Scenes of toilet being flushed with poopy toilet paper and mess. Scenes of urine puddles on a chair. An old lady shouting how she made a mess and needs cleaning up. Being carried to the bath with poo stain visible on her night clothes. There's also a scene where a character has poo smeared on her neck and chin. You don't see how it gets on there but not nice to look at. She wipes it off.

The stepmother tells her stepson to come closer to her. When he does she spits in his face. You see it on his cheek and chin. It looked like something thicker than spit though which made it extra gross.

There are quite a few bodily function sounds throughout the movie. Also: a character blows a whistle loudly and frequently in the second half of the movie - it can be startling and very aggravating

There is racism. In one scene an old lady grabs a white napkin from the dinner table and makes it into a triangle shape and holds it over her head and pretends to be a member of the KKK to antagonize her stepson's wife.
