By 2017, the global economy has collapsed and U.S. society has become a totalitarian police state, censoring all cultural activity. The government pacifies the populace by broadcasting a number of game shows in which convicted criminals fight for their lives, including the gladiator-style The Running Man, hosted by the ruthless Damon Killian, where “runners” attempt to evade “stalkers” and certain death for a chance to be pardoned and set free.

There are some bone breaking sounds during the prison fight and a neck break scene during the same scene. Skip from 7:27 to 7:32 to safely avoid the neck break.
After the main characters are dumped into the wrestling ring with Captain Freedom, Amber is picked up and strangled by the stalker who shortly after breaks her neck. For being an older movie, the scene is actually quite graphic and if bone breaking, especially neck breaks, are a trigger, you should really avoid it. Skip from 1:20:25 to 1:20:38.
