A lot of uncomfortable scenes with family members throughout where it looks like Sam is dissociating, or could trigger memories of dissociation for people who’ve had rocky relationships with family.

Most or all of the film seems shot by handheld cameras. In some of the emotional scenes there is more camera wobbling. There isn't any horror to go with the shaky cam though.

Briefly, followed by apologizing. The apologizing is shown to be excessive. There is also discussion of how the character doing the misgendering sees the character as his assigned birth gender.
