No, but an infant is in great danger, surrounded by violence and war. Then his father dies, and his mother sets their son adrift on a river in a basket to save his life, whereupon she dies. Fortunately, we see at the end of the movie that he's found alive by someone who does him no harm.
While not exactly torture, there is fight scene in the movie which is extremely lopsided as one character possess strong magical abilities that cause extreme pain to their target.
