White Squall

Report
In 1960, a hardy group of prep school students boards an old-fashioned sailing ship. With Capt. Christopher Sheldon (Jeff Bridges) at the helm, the oceangoing voyage is intended to teach the boys fortitude and discipline. But the youthful crew are about to get some unexpected instruction in survival when they get caught in the clutches of a white squall storm.

A dolphin gets shot in the lungs with an speargun. He squeals in pain, there is blood everywhere, he suffers greatly on screen, and the Skipper hits him multiple times on the head with a mallet to put him out of his misery. It is an excruciating, haunting scene to get through, and I would advise avoiding it all all costs. It doesn’t advance the plot, so you won’t be lost if you skip over the scene.

There is a moment about 35 mins in after they sing on deck where a bunch of the crew members get seasick. There is also a point where there was a fight and a guy gags very loud after being punched in the stomach. This is about 40 minutes in after the prostitute moment.
