A man threatens, intimidates and slaps his wife. She says, "That's the last time you've hit me", and when he says he's sorry, she replies, "You're always sorry". At one point, she says, "You don't love me; you just want to control me". All this (and more?) makes it clear that it's a case of ongoing abuse and violence. At one point, while pointing a gun loosely in her direction, he asks her if she's been sleeping with someone and adds that he'd rather see her dead (and we find out later that he truly meant it). He has her followed by a private investigator to find out if she's cheating.
Someone is forcefully and forcibly injected in the side of the neck with a sedative, briefly struggles in vain, then loses consciousness. The perpetrator is a dentist; the victim is his patient and is sitting in the dentist's chair expecting treatment.
No, but in case someone has a more specific drowning trigger, I want to mention that a car with no persons inside it is accidentally set in motion, rolls slowly downhill into a lake and sinks.
There's very early pregnancy. Both physically and mentally rough things happen to the woman, but apparently nothing happens to the foetus. There are no babies in the movie.
We're made to believe so for a while, but no. She's not visibly pregnant; we only know of her pregnancy from a scene in which she sees the positive result on the pregnancy test she just took.
Very much so. One car is set on fire, goes over a cliff with an unconscious person inside it, falls a loooong way, then explodes. Another car - no persons inside it - is accidentally set in motion and rolls slowly downhill, ending up in a lake, in which it eventually sinks. I don't remember if there are other car crashes/accidents; there may well be.
Alcoholism (we see the person drinking) and gambling addiction (we see the person gambling online and hearing on the radio that his horse(?) lost the race).
Yes, there is! A person is locked in the trunk of a car while unconscious, and we see them waking up inside the locked trunk. The perspective inside the trunk is rather brief, though.
No, but we see a person pushing a bad guy over a wall with a drop on the other side in self-defense. We don't know how deep the fall is, but the scream we hear before the thud from him hitting the ground is rather short. We don't see him hitting the ground, nor do we see him lying there until a while later, when we see him wake up. So for a while we're made to believe that the fallen person MAY have died.
