Mr. Wynter's parents died when he was a child. However, this is just part of his character's backstory and is told by himself (never shown on screen), still, it's a melancholic scene that could make some people sad.

At no point is there any cheating. Elysie has a friendship with Bruce and the two only kiss after she told him that she is no longer married to an unseen implied abusive man.

Lead detective is autistic coded. I personally have no problem with the portrayal, but some might feel like there are some stereotypes happening (because the character is a idiosyncratic and socially inept savant, ala Sherlock Holmes). However, I personally feel like it’s somewhat refreshing to see this stereotype in a different package.

I’m still watching but so far, no. Although some characters are a little impatient with an autistic coded character’s routines, it’s more about everyone being in a stressful time sensitive situation.

The sexual orientation of the murder victim is not revealed throughout the series, nor does he had a confirmed couple, but it gets to be questioned through the investigation without a clear answer since it's not important to the case.

Technically, yes, a black man is the first to die. However, as the other commenter noted, 75% of the cast is black so this isn’t the trope of the one token black character being killed off early.

Unaware of what the first commenter is even referencing. The president and his husband are roughly the same age. Elsyie and Bruce are also most likely around the same age even if he appears older. They seem to be the same age if only a small age gap of at maximum 5 years or so, they are both clearly adults in their 30s.
