Laura wants for nothing. She has a glittering career, a loving husband, Howard, and, above all, she has Daniel, her precious only son. But Laura’s seemingly perfect life is blown apart when Daniel brings home Cherry, the girlfriend who changes everything. After an uncomfortable first meeting, Laura grows convinced that Cherry isn’t who she says she is. While no one else can see what she sees, Laura refuses to stand by and watch Daniel be deceived. She’ll do anything to protect him. As things go from bad to deadly, the question is, is Cherry a manipulative social climber? Or is Laura paranoid and possessive? The truth is a matter of perspective…
while not depicted as ptsd, one character does have a scene where they’re shown being very anxious and afraid because of something that recently happened that put them on edge.
one character dissociates due to grief, and one character disassociates on drugs, and these are depicted with blurred lights and distant/fading sounds, which may be upsetting - keep yourself safe! <3
several instances of a person being where we don’t expect them to be (for example, Character A turns around to find Character B behind them, and A is quite startled) and quite a few intense/dimly lit scenes where it seems like there may be a jumpscare, but nothing too intense.
there is a scene where the skinned body of a rabbit is shown in detail as characters are shopping for meat for dinner. it is the visual focus of the scene for about a minute or two. shortly after another rabbit meant for meat (already dead and skinned) has its head chopped off. this is shown but only for a split second. the depictions of these two instances are pretty upsetting if you’re a lover of rabbits, even though the second one is short.
Moses, the cat lives. I FF the scene where Cherry was in the bathroom with him and pushed him out the window. But after that, he finally shows back up in the final episode (e6). He’s fine and healthy.
a woman is held underwater in her pool, it’s meant to be frightening to the viewer at first but when she and the other person come up to breathe it’s revealed that they know and trust each other and it was a playful action.
while not finger wounding, one character is slashed across the palm. it’s not focused on much, but there is blood seen dripping from the cut. i thought it worth mentioning in case that counts for someone - if that’s you, do take care of yourself! <3
one character does intentionally wound themselves, though the instance may contain spoilers for the plot. i will just say the point of doing it isn’t solely the harming, there’s a larger goal when they do it.
several instances of people being wounded, blood is shown dripping from the wounds multiple times, though as far as i can remember the wounds are never shown super up close. they’re not afraid to show the blood, though, so keep that in mind as you watch :]
one character ends the life of another by holding them under the surface a pool. they stop moving and are then brought above the water where we see they have died.
