But even though she was raped - at her 16 year old birthday party by three adult men, while bullies from her school watch and mock her - she never gets medical treatment, never gets counseling, never gets any support at all. It's like one message of the show is - if you are traumatized and brutalized, walk it off. Don't tell anyone, don't get help dealing with it, just keep it bottled up. It's a very destructive message for a tv show, really sick imo.
