Set a few weeks after Dexter: New Blood, Dexter Morgan chases a missing Harrison to New York City, where Captain Angel Batista is hot on their trail from way down in Miami.
A man tells a story about a girl whose dog died and so she got a tattoo of it. We see a pic of the girl on social media and a pic of the dog tattoo. Never anything graphic. (As of episode 4)
Blessing’s mother has cancer (discussed frequently) and Charley is sometimes seen visiting her sick mother in the hospital. Her illness is unspecified but she is bedridden and has lost the ability to move or speak.
not exactly but a man brings a girl into the hotel Harrison works at and has clearly roofied her. It's very clear he intends to assault her but Harrison stops him. the farthest he gets is having pulled her dress up and began to unbutton his pants. you do hear her say "no!" in a pretty distressed tone.
Harrison imagines himself violently jabbing a fork into a man’s eye.
S1E5: A killer attempts to torture a man by putting lye in his eyes. His eye is forcibly opened and it gets very close to happening until the police bust in.
At a conference Harrison is attending for college, extremely graphic crime scene photos are shown of women who have been murdered by a serial killer. If you are very sensitive to gore (and organs in particular), I recommend either closing your eyes/looking away until the conference is over or skipping the scene entirely.
S1E8: The photos are seen again in the background of detective Wallace’s office.
Technically, yes. A man is bound and gagged by a killer who is preparing to torture him. We see various instruments intended for torture. The police bust in before anything can happen.
S1E7: In a voicemail, a serial killer talks about keeping his victims alive while he eviscerates them.
Spoilers!! Around 24 minutes in, when Harrison is done cleaning up the kitchen and takes the trash out, and dump truck takes them away and Harrison v*s suddenly. Audio and visual. It is only about 5 seconds.
Technically. A black immigrant ride share driver is murdered by a serial killer who verbally assaults him with what could be interpreted as racist, anti immigrant rhetoric. While not overt, the undertones are there and it may be an uncomfortable scene for a person of color or immigrant to watch.
