Ep 2 has jokes about kids onstage dancing to suggestive music but the kids aren't really sexualized. There's also implied sexual behavior between high schoolers in Ep 9 but it's not explicit and they're seniors.

A subplot has a lesbian character ask her brothers to donate their sperm for her wife to get pregnant. A couple of times characters overhear them talking about this and become concerned, but there's no actual incest.

Nuance? Naomi's behavior could possibly be seen as verbally abusive, and it's a major plot point that her children have complicated relationships with her because she was often overly judgmental and guilt-trippy towards them. However she's not really depicted as abusive, and she shows genuine love, it's just realistically complicated in a way that might resonate with people.

She survives, but a child almost drowns in Ep 2, and nobody helps her because her brother thinks she's just playing "lifeguard." She considers the ordeal traumatizing as an adult.

The show itself is heavily themed around Jewish culture and occasionally references the historical oppression of Jews, i.e. the Holocaust. Avi also has a complicated relationship with his upbringing and chooses not to raise his daughter as Jewish, with some implied internalized antisemitism. Characters also act harshly about the Orthodox sect, though they are depicted as in the wrong. However the show is generally very celebratory of Jewish culture, albeit realistic about the trials that come with the culture.

No direct depictions, but an episode taking place in 2002 has the prom themed around 9/11 remembrance. A girl almost punches down a statue of the Twin Towers but decides against it.

There's a joke between puppets where the wife hits the husband with a rolled up newspaper, but it's very cartoonish and silly. The actual married couple is quite loving.

Ep 2: A character kisses a married woman, but she refuses him and nothing seemingly comes of it. Ep 9: A character goes to the prom with a boy behind her best friend's back after fooling around with her for a while, and justifies it by claiming their relationships aren't serious.
