The hero dog Ahu is a circus animal initially, performing tricks. He doesn't seem to be treated poorly but he hates being a clown. Later in the episode he is fighting some bad guys and there are two points where he take particularly brutal beatings, being kicked around and threatened with an axe.

There are two instances that might count as this- Episode 3 has a flashback where a speedster villain crashes into someone and explodes, however the blood is stylized/more resembles pink jelly and the scene is played as a dark joke. Episode 20 contains a scene where someone is killed via being beaten with a crowbar, and the scene goes on much longer/is more violent than most of the show.

There are some potential body horror elements in the Nice arc- mainly the focus on being physically transformed into someone else against your will. Episode 16 has a more explicit case of body horror with Ghostblade fighting someone who's been experimented on and regrows limbs after they've been cut off/is now made of an alien substance, and a dream sequence in Episode 22 contains a character having their body distorted and bones broken.
