Early on in the film, a dog is seen killing a rabbit in the distance. Later, a group of teenagers set fire to a sheep and a character is forced to mercy-kill it.
There's a lot of glitching effects, and at times these alternate between light and dark extremes with no warning. It's not a rapid strobe effect, but photosensitive people may want to avoid this movie during more sensitive periods (like if they're sleep deprived, for instance).
About 25 minutes in, right after the fire, one of the main characters is washing his hands and it makes a lot of squelching noises. Lip smacking is common enough to justify keeping your guard up whenever you see a drink on screen
The scene where the sheep is set on fire starts shortly after the 23 minute mark, and ends shortly before the 25 minute mark. So it's relatively quick but still not fun. I tried to fast forward through it but didn't realize it was happening until right after it started (you can hear the sheep screaming...). Still unsettled by the audio though, so recommend muting if you aren't going to fast forward through the scene and just try to look away
I think that there's two different movies with similar titles being reviewed on this entry - The Borderlands 2013 (Elliott Goldner) doesn't feature a car crash.
