A friend of a Sol takes out their eye with a knife in a grayscale, minimally graphic flashback. However this may be upsetting.

Not for spectacle, but Goumang is arguably brutalized in an upsetting scene

I'd say yes, as the sols are cat people and the majority of them die.

Yeah.
The Solarians are basically anthropomorphic cats, and you have to kill 8/9 of them. Not to mention at least ten bodies.

This game is fairly gory (the game even warns you about the violence when booting it up). Enemies explode into pieces, Yi's guts are exposed in the opening cutscene, one boss has her legs severed. The reason the game is rated T instead of M is because of the cartoony artstyle and lack of extreme detail.

In the beginning, Shuanshuan's sibling think they are being sent to live with the Sols, only to be decapitated where no one knows. Shuanshuan himself is saved.

Yeah, most of them. Most bosses die. If you take the map chips from robots without paying, they die.

A blue looping room has very scary ghosts of a boss which later appears there. The event in which the room loops not letting you out and the ghost appears only happens upon first entering and attempting to exit.

Subtle ones. First time you meet Kuafu, he asks if you remember his nickname. The dialogue options are "calorie crusher" and "gorgeous beefcake". Later, he says that if you're gonna die, there's no reason not to make it sweet (in reference to his Boba tea which basically keeps him alive). Yi notes that he'd get stuck halfway up the stairway to heaven.

The boss of the Empyrean District, Fuxi and Nuwa, are brother and sister. The relationship between them could be implied to be romantically incestuous.
