This movie contains 22 potentially triggering events.
There's content that could definitely be triggering if domestic violence is something you're sensitive to. Towards the beginning of the film, a secondary character breaks things and grabs his wife's arm. The main characters discuss this event. Additionally, *SPOILER* a character is basically possessed, and there is violence between her and her spouse because of it.
Box of worms for fishing is accidentally dumped into the porch.
Boy grabs frog up in met and says it's gonna be dinner and playfully pretends to gobble up the frog. Scene changes and we haven't seen frog be thrown back.
There is discussion of hunting animals, particularly the bear who's skin is mounted on the wall. "Have you ever killed anything with your bare hands?" "No, just fish and little frogs we used for bait." (That was annoying to me.) She then talks about how they would scream as they were cast into the water.
[SPOILERS]: Female genital trauma; though the genitals are not explicitly shown, you can see marks on her inner thighs and a lot of blood coming from that region
Spoiler:
A character who is possessed in some way has changing personality, memory, and cognition, and sometimes refers to themselves as “we”. While this is not the theme or subtext, it could be triggering to people with this sensitivity, especially because these changes arise after trauma
[SPOILERS]: A woman tries to abort the (not human) thing inside her with a metal rod. Lots of blood. Then, she asks her husband to pull the creature out of her and he does.
