The scene where they shoot his pet wolf is beyond horrific! I am highly sensitive to animal suffering and this movie ranks as my number one worst ever. If you love animals, stay away from this movie!!! I won’t watch Kevin Costner in anything anymore because of his obvious need to show animals suffering. So Unnecessary!! I can’t say enough how awful this movie is and how distraught I was after watching it. Never again
In the first scene, John Dunbar has been shot in the leg during combat and the doctors want to cut off his foot. However, he escapes before they're able to.
There's a flashback scene to give background information on Stands with a Fist's family. It shows her husband being murdered by Pawnee natives, and I believe (if my memory serves) it only implies that the children were killed as well and doesn't show their deaths.
There's a flashback scene to give background information on Stands with a Fist's family. It shows her husband and father of her children being murdered by Pawnee natives, but does not show any drawn out mourning from either her or her children.
completely safe! the only scene that caught me off guard was near the beginning when a character spits out some food and residue is seen in some close-ups, but otherwise fine!
