Yes, in season 8 episode 10. I am re-watching this entire series as it was a childhood favorite and I am absolutely astonished that they had that incident as a scene. Most sit-coms would have had the dog fall in a passing truck full of laundry or something and turn out to be okay, you know? But that poor dog falling to its death... one minute having fun chasing the ball a human was encouraging it to play with and the next a terrifying death was just completely uncalled for. They even showed him going over the balcony in slow motion. They could have simply had George lose the dog or something if they really wanted to do that ridiculous storyline. I enjoyed this as one of my favorite television series of all time and now I have completely turned against it. I am just glad I didn't see it when I was little. It would have traumatized me greatly.
George goes to meet an old Navy friend for a drink, when he finds out that his friend has transitioned into a woman. George keeps calling her by her given name despite her wishes to be called Edith, and makes several comments about her name and her body. He also gets so upset about this new information that he leaves Edith abruptly and refuses to let her touch him. George also misgenders her when talking about her to his wife, and at one point even calls Edith "it". This is all played out with a laugh track. Wheezy actually makes an effort to gender her correctly and call her by her chosen name, and George eventually calls her by her chosen name too, but George still misgenders her behind her back throughout the last few minutes of the episode.
