I would say that it is a mix of yes and no. Grizz idolizes cops, even making an entire action movie series about a cop. The show also romanticizes forest rangers. However, besides Ranger Tabes and the few rangers she met at the Ranger Convention, all of the cops in the show are portrayed negatively. They are incompetent, slack off a lot, and will arrest people for very stupid reasons. The show also portrays mall cops as being really lame.
