I mean it’s technically not explained how Russel was orphaned. But Wade explicitly mentions his father walked out in him when he was young and unlike the previous movie he’s being serious
The whole conflict is that Russell killing his abuser will lead to him becoming a serial killer so he must be stopped from getting revenge. However, the abuser isn’t forgiven and is killed by Deadpool’s friend, so the film is still anti-abuse.
After Wade falls off a cliff into water, he gasps for breath when he reaches the surface again. When Wade's regenerative powers are blocked, he coughs thickly as he starts dying from cancer.
Yes, there are several of these scenes, in order of severity:
There is a scene where Cable’s wife and child are killed in a fire.
There is also another scene where deadpool is (temporarily) killed in a fiery explosion.
Lastly, there is a very short scene at the beginning of the movie where a man is shown running around on fire.
Wade hugs Cable at the end and there’s a silence, after which Wade says, “is there a knife in my dick?” Cable responds, “yes, there is a knife in your dick”. Obviously played for laughs, not shown.
Young children and teenagers are physically abused and forcefully given electro-therapy in an orphanage. A major character ties up a minor character with the intention of torturing him, but he gives up information before it can happen.
While Wade fights Cable in the Icebox, Wade falls off a cliff and dies before coming back to life a few minutes later. After X-Force jumps with parachutes out of a plane, most of the members crash to their deaths. Additionally, Wade gets severely injured after jumping or falling from high places.
The scene where the team is jumping out of the plane shows a lot of death and gore. There is a part where a character gets sucked into a wood chipper and then vomits acid that melts another character. This part of the movie was extremely distressing to me and I thought it was beyond excessive. It was very disturbing and has left me with intrusive thoughts about it.
His girlfriend/lover dies in the beginning and there's a very triggering scene at the end of them "in heaven" and he doesn't get to stay with her right now. If you have "loss" triggers, this made me sob very hard. Still great movie, but a warning would have helped.
A damaged teddy bear is kept by one of the major characters as the last reminder of his daughter. However, it is later un-damaged when the death is undone.
One character gets stuck in a machine. As another character tries to help, he projectile vomits onto that character. It is a very long scene that was made for comedic effect.
Russell (a young teenage boy) has visible burn scars on his neck from electro-therapy. At one point he has a flashback to receiving electro-therapy. The electro-therapy machine is shown again when Russell returns to the orphanage later in the movie. Additionally, a few characters are electrocuted throughout the movie.
Wade has had cancer the entire franchise, it's the point of his superpowers. So if that's a trigger, it's better to stay away from the franchise all together.
Sort of, but the character in question has a good reason for being violent (he wants to get his revenge on the orphanage that treated him so terribly), so I don't really think he counts.
After Wade and Russell are taken away to the Icebox, they and multiple other characters are shown in small prison cells. During the scene with the armed convoy, several characters are shown in tiny cells.
Yes and no, in the beginning of the movie, Deadpool goes to a bar/strip club and dresses up in a wig and heels. It was very brief and meant to be funny; he was not technically in a "dress," but it may be offensive/triggering for some.
Not necessarily killed first, but a black side character is killed shortly after he is introduced halfway through the movie, but along with several other side characters, so he isn’t really singled out.
(Spoilers) Deadpool dies in the lake like they said Also the juggernaut gets pushed into a pool and is electrocuted, I'm not sure if he drowns necessarily but still might be triggering
