A dog is shown in the snow early on, but it is very briefly shown and it never in danger, nor does anything happen to it.
Later on, a dog is quickly shown in shadow and heard on a balcony of an apartment complex. This dog is heard a few other times, but it is never shown again. There are never any sounds or visual scenes indicating that the dog has come to any harm.
There are a couple shower scenes. One is benign and shows a female character just standing under the shower head. The second shows the same female character showering and a male character intrudes and attempts to rape her, but she successfully fights him off.
In context of a torture the protagonist was held a gun against her head and expected her death. However, the magazine is empty and after realizing this circumstance, she vomits due to her shock.
