The daily lives of prisoners in Emerald City, an experimental unit of the Oswald Maximum Security Prison where ingroups - Muslims, Latinos, Italians, Aryans - stick close to their mutual friends and terrorizes their mutual enemies.

Not finished with the series yet and it's not shown on screen but there is a scene where a prisoner talks about "docking" his dog when he was younger in pretty graphic detail and he goes as far as killing the dog. He says he's joking after, but it's unclear what the truth is.

If electro-therapy is a trigger for you, you should know that a mentally disabled character undergoes ECT & is later executed using the electric chair. The chair is explained to him as one last special ECT session. The culmination of his storyline is extremely upsetting.
