Major spoilers for the whole show!! There are a few weird scenes and episodes that sexualize minors, there’s a few ’jokes’ made about a fairy queen that’s attracted to Marcos friends who are minors, but they play it off as a Hansel and Gretel thing. There’s also multiple jokes made about Marcos ‘adult voice’ being attractive by star and hekipoo. Marco is also considered older in the neverzone and many characters make comments on how Marcos older look make him attractive. It all come off as a very weird cause Marco is depicted as both an adult and a child, so it makes it weird to have other characters sexualizing that. Most of the sexualization happens in season 1 but it comes back in later seasons, and it’s not something I’ve seen a lot of fans address
theres one episode where a character breaks a bone, and in multiple scenes throughout the show the character endures a lot of injuries that are *almost* fatal and sound like bones cracking. nothing actually happens and the character never dies
(Spoilers for season 2 finale)
When Toffee is defeated, he gets blasted and his eyes sort of melt. Later when he's dead, Ludo picks up one of the eyes and messes with it. No blood, but it's pretty disturbing.
Marco got kidnapped multiple times.
Star got kidnapped twice, once by rhombulus. And once by Ludo's army
Meteora zaps the souls of multiple people (which is considered both assault and kidnapping). She later mass kidnapps everyone in the castle
Toffee zapped Moon and MHCs souls
There is an episode titled "Bon Bon the Birthday Clown" in which Star and Janna attempt to revive the spirit of a creepy dead clown. Nothing is graphic.
There’s a whole episode about how star is running from the police cause she destroyed a police car, while they don’t end up getting in trouble for it. Most of the show the cops or shown to be incompetent
There are multiple characters in the show who are shown have gone through traumatic events in the past and are still very much affected by it. Metera especially goes through a lot of abuse throughout her life, and is shown using brain washing to try to forget her past and even has a mental break when she finds out what people had been hiding from her about her family.
The misgendering, is due to a male character purposefully and willingly, dressing up and pretending to be a female, characters refer to this character with female pronouns while this is happening. The misgendering is not done to hurt a character, or purposefully
By seasons 3 and 4, the dynamics between monsters and mewmans become a pretty obvious allegory for racism. Some mewman's comments about monsters could be interpreted as hate speech.
Moon was naked in the realm of magic, luckily her hair covers it.
Marco's parents were naked only to be covered by swimming inside the cave in their family trip
No thete is no bestality.
Monsters are also portrayed to have psrsonality and autonomy on their own. Which makes it a case for consensual and healthy relationship
Case in point. Tom's parent. Eclipsa and globgor. Tom and Star for brief time
