It’s not shown that the main character (a cop) was a cheater until he texted her by mistake what he intended to text the stripper who he cheated on her with. It starts with his wife going downstairs in the kitchen early morning as he’s back from work and she asks if he’s deleting the messages on his phone, to which he denies it and asks “are we really doing it right now?”. When she confronts him he gaslights her (of course) and denies doing anything then she shows him her phone with the text, where he said how his affair was a bad b* word. His wife divorced him as a result (as she should) and the plot goes on as if nothing happened. She packs her bags and leave with their two little girls and they have some argument and screaming before she drives away and that’s it.
