There are two scenes where one of Tara's alters self harms on screen and blood is shown. The first scene is where she is writing her paper on somatization, and the self harm is stopped by Alice before much damage can be done or blood is shown. The second instance is during Charmaine's baby shower in the parking lot outside, and no one is able to prevent it. More blood is shown in this scene.

As someone with DID whose mother watched the show as a kid, this show had my mother convinced for years and my father still convinced that I'm faking my DID. PSA: People with DID do *not* astral project their alters. We cannot see each other in the way that you can see another person walk down the street. If we do picture each other, it is like having an active imagination, as only us can see them as it's behind the eyes. You cannot see our alters, they look like the body and depending on their level of masking they can even seem similar to the core or host if you don't know them well enough (including if you think you do, like my dad)

Tara's neighbor commits suicide. While his actions and methods are described, nothing is shown on screen. Later on, one of Dr. Hatteras's patients is shown to jump off a building, but him hitting the ground is not shown. It is implied that this was not a suicide attempt but rather a product of his delusion that he could fly, but it is stated that he succeeded and died.

The show revolves around ableist stereotypes of people with DID (how we're abusive to the people around us, how ALL alters other than the 'host' are cartoonish caricatures who disturb the system's life, etc.) Also, the main character is subject to constant ableist sentiments ranging from ignorance to outright abuse.
