Mark's father is abusive towards Mark throughout the movie, both emotionally and physically, and in one scene threw him on the ground and hit him repeatedly.

Bullies beat up the two protagonists.
Father attacks teenaged child twice, once pictured on screen (beating, manhandling, choking) and the second not pictured (but the injuries caused by it are—black eye and busted lip).
Protangonist is pictured being pushed to the ground by a love interest during a fight and hits his head on a rock, resulting in a unconsciousness and profuse bleeding.

I don’t remember any specific examples of gaslighting, but the father is repeatedly verbally abusive to his girlfriend and to his son.

Not a discussion about it, but Karen says that she doesn't want Jack becoming a "Jar-head moron, **ping and killing women." Theres also a scene before that when Mark was telling Jack how he should kiss, and Mark says, "And, close your eyes or else your looking like a fucking **pist."

Calling it cheating is not accurate, it’s more of a love triangle.

A protagonist breaks things off with his original love interest, who he had never really made any sort of commitment to, by announcing a new relationship. It’s definitely a betrayal, but the new relationship was started with the goal of ending the other, rather than having a deceptive affair with committed partners.

[SPOILERS]

With how bad of a shot Jack is, it's extremely unlikely that he could have killed Mark from that distance, especially since he wasn't sober.
So yeah, definitely a suicide.

No slurs, but homophobic violence.
Bullies beat up protagonists seemingly just for fun, but I get the impression they did it becayse they thought they were gay. A father beats his child after seeing him being physically affectionate with another boy, the attack is not shown but the resulting injuries are.

I’m not sure whether I’d call it a joke because of the way the scene is written, but it may still be triggering: guy 1 says to guy 2 “I wish you were a girl,” at which point guy 2 puts on lipstick and a dress. The scene is obviously not written as a joke, it’s written to be painful, but it seems guy2 did this to be humorous/lighten the mood and it works, they both chuckle about it. This is followed by guy 1 making the comment, “[wear this], it’ll match your lipstick,” to mock guy 2.

Death not shown on screen, still heartbreaking. It’s implied to be suicide but could also be interpreted as an accidental shooting (intentional murder seems highly unlikely).

No, because the parents never married, they were never step brothers. But idk if it could be triggering regardless: protagonists are pictured living together like step brothers before their romance starts.

not necessarily, but one of the main characters has a horribly abusive father who ridicules him for being anything that isn't very manly/straight so when he cowers at the hands of his father's abuse, it enrages the father more.

gay guy dies because of a gunshot.
**spoilers**

It’s implied to be suicide due to his terrible home life, homophobic abuse, and social isolation. It may have also been an accidental shooting because while the other protagonist clearly loves him very much, he is armed and very drunk during this scene; a murderous episode of vengeful rage from him seems extremely unlikely to me, but this is still implied to be a possibility.
