One of the character's powers is the ability to throw fireballs, which can ignite bad guys.

A hand is impaled with a large knife - this definitely breaks bones. Warning: Do not try it at home

Some of the Vigors come with unsettling animations for the player character's hand. These include catching fire and burning down to the bone, the skin splitting apart and oozing blood, crystalline growths protruding from the skin, and octopus-like suckers sprouting from the hands.

There is at least one major jumpscare involving one of the Boys of Silence in the warden's office.

One of the boss battles toward the end of the game is with a ghost that raises zombie-esque soldiers to fight you.

When Booker and Elizabeth enter the Graveyard Shift (bar) in Shantytown a man walks over to a barrel and vomits into it. You can prevent this by either killing him before he gets to the barrel (he walks slowly), although then you'll have to kill everyone else inside the bar as well, as they will attack you. Or you can walk in and immediatly run down to the basement, that way you'll miss the vomiting.

In the latter part of the game, Elizabeth is taken to a run-down mental institution, where the patients wait to be directed to attack.

Elizabeth has been manipulated her entire life into being what her father wants. The effects of this are addressed later in-game

The only part I can really think of is at the beginning when you leave the lighthouse and maybe later when you're falling

The game takes place in a very, very racist society. Black people, Native American people, Chinese people, and Irish people are the most commonly targeted.

No, however the only major black character in the game is killed, which has become a point of contention for many

As Columbia is a very, very racist society, there is a lot of racism targeted towards black people, who are sometimes referred to as "negroes" in environmental signage.

The game takes place in a floating city. Bad guys (and occasionally your player character) will fall over the edge during battles.

Scene at the beginning where the main character tries to gain entry to the city and almost drowns during baptism. A major character/figure also later drowns towards the ending.
