The protagonist's father is a violent alcoholic. In some scenes, he is shown drinking and becoming verbally aggressive. Although he is never explicitly shown being physically abusive, it is heavily implied, and his body language is physically aggressive in many scenes.

Hinako forgives her mother and partially forgives her father for their abusive parenting. Even if done with nuance its still pretty upsetting, especially when you still have to do the boss fight against them anyways

Enemies in a specific section follow and attack the player character when not observed. These enemies appear as scarecrows, and are surrounded by identical immobile scarecrows, so they may not be immediately obvious and instill feelings of stalking.

A major theme of the game is dealing with abusive parents. Hinako has an alcoholic dad who is shown to throw things at her in flashbacks and general hurling verbal abuse

A late game boss fight involves fighting the manifestation of her abusive parents, where they keep hurling verbal abuse during the entire fight

At first it seems like Hinako is forced to marry an old man while she is a teenager, but we find out they are actually around the same age (early 20's) and the perceived power imbalance is a symbolic manifestation of her worries of ending up in an abusive relationship

One enemy is a manifestation of Hinako's fear of men, and it will lick her with a spiked tongue during a grab attack which is the closest thing to this

As part of a religious ritual, a character has the skin from the upper half of her face removed and replaced with a fox mask. Although the character's eyes are not mutilated, a blade is shown cutting near the character's eyes, and the removed skin is shown with eye holes.

A young female character is seen trapped in a cage. She begs another character to let her out, but she is not released. The lights in the room go out, and she is left alone in total darkness. Her terrified screams are heard.

A young female character is seen trapped in a cage that is hanging over lava. Another character lowers the cage into the lava. The girl is shown getting burned and can be heard screaming in pain.

A young female character takes part in several rituals that involve mutilation. She cuts off her own arm using a large blade, she is given a large brand on her back, and a large section of skin from her face is peeled off. The character remains calm during these rituals, but they are still quite disturbing and graphic.

There are not any scenes of shaving or self-harming by cutting.

However, the player character and enemy monsters can wield bladed weapons and use them to attack each other. The player character's appearance becomes more scraped, cut, and bloody as the game progresses.

In one scene, a character is shown cutting her own arm with a large blade. In one scene, a character is shown cutting another character's face with a blade.

As part of a religious ritual, a character uses a large saw/sword to cut off one of her own arms. She cuts near her shoulder, so her hand is not specifically damaged, but it is removed along with the arm. Immediately after this, the character's arm is replaced with a large, furry monster arm.

Mostly in-game "enemy hiding behind corner and attacking you" stuff. Some enemies also pretend to be dead or inanimate before attacking if you get too close or grab a key item close to them

One cutscene after the scarecrow puzzle has a bizarre and loud quick montage that can be very startling if you don't know about it ahead of time

There’s an enemy with many faces that sprays something like blood around as an AOE attack. It didn’t seem to be v* to me but it does spray from the mouths of three faces.

There is a boss (fought multiple times) that looks like a large monster with a lot of pregnant bellies that births other monsters during the fight. It also has an attack where it makes kind of a heaving noise and then there’s an acid ranged attack. It’s relatively mild IMO? It clearly is meant to symbolize v*/morning sickness but it looks more like spitting out a green glob of mucus.

Protagonist does a cleansing ritual with the fox guy, he spits out water and she spits something out after she does it.

An enemy seemed to spit out a large amount of blood at the protagonist for an attack.

Another enemy spits out green globs as a ranged attack.

Sakuko's doctor is surprisingly nice about her being autistic for something set in the 60's, telling her parents in a letter just to treat her well and she will be fine.

Said parents are implied to not be as nice, but no ABA therapy is involved as far as I could tell, just general neglect

Hinako fears the idea of pregnancy being used as a way to tie a woman to an abusive husband, and you fight mini boss monsters that are a manifestation of this. The enemy will spawn egg sacks that creates more enemies, and the best way to deal with these is to break them before it can get born
