The Ghost and the Darkness

ReportSir Robert Beaumont is behind schedule on a railroad in Africa. Enlisting noted engineer John Henry Patterson to right the ship, Beaumont expects results. Everything seems great until the crew discovers the mutilated corpse of the project's foreman, seemingly killed by a lion. After several more attacks, Patterson calls in famed hunter Charles Remington, who has finally met his match in the bloodthirsty lions.

the two main lions are killed by the end, obviously. there is also a lion shot and killed at the camp around 16 minutes in, and its body is shown the next morning, but it is not graphic or excessively bloody

They are briefly trapped in a space that looks kinda like a wooden jail cell, with fire on the ground and the lion roaring in front of them. There's definitely a feeling of dread from being trapped in a small space
