Okay, people, this is ridiculous. No actual dog died in Happy. It was an evil imaginary friend that looked like a three-headed monster. I almost didn't watch this really good, wickedly funny show because someone said a dog died. I'm glad I decided to give it a chance.
Hailey and other kids at school for trouble kid Are violent and aggressive. Its implied Hailey is traumatized from season 1 and suffers from PTSD alongside her mother who both act irrational and abusive. Hailey is mocked from having panikk attack when remembering santa clause
In the second season, one of Hailey’s school bullies is trapped in the bleachers while Smoothie closes them on her. She can be heard screaming as the camera pans away. She’s revealed to be seriously injured but alive in the next episode.
Rats & bunnies.
SPOILER: Season 2, Rabbit is shown in a box skinned, looks fake. Rabbit is shown with foot missing, again looks cgi. Disturbing scene where Smoothie dyes a rabbit pink and it squeals. If you're sensitive it might bother you.
There are several scenes including heavy violence and gore - one scene a character called Le Dic gets his finger cut off, and another character has an amputated penis
Most of the persons suffers some kind of trauma and have flashback. Many have the similar symptom of Ptsd.
Amanda suffers from panic attacks.
Hailiey a young Child suffers many, Also when she is tormented by peers.
Main person and others have similar flashback or and hallucinatine
Season 1 episode 4 during a montage in Chinatown. Nick looks at a lady giving him a massage and says, "you're a guy aren't you?" Nick says "eh" and the massage continues on so it's heavily implied Nick actually doesn't care but it's still misgendering her.
Kinda offensive to trans or gays since they Are evil and do predatory action like rape and murder to others. Also people Are mocked for being overweight. Also some pope Are portrayed as evil as they greenlight a massacre of nuns so the will capitalize on it
Technically... there are multiple characters implied or coded to be LGBTQ+, several of them die, a few of them even stay dead. I personally wouldn’t call this an example of “bury your gays” BUT viewer discretion is advised either way
It got cancelled after season 2, maybe someone else will pick it up for a season 3, idk. There's definitely more they could do with the story, but everything is wrapped up pretty satisfactorily and I would say it does end well. It's not sad.
