They don’t show child abuse but there are some photos of persons assumed to be underaged and a scene of a very young girl in captivity.

While I still feel this is a great movie, there are two highly graphic scenes that would also be considered sexual torture that are burned into my memory. There’s also a lot of talk and photos of sexual abuse/assault etc. since sex trafficking is a main theme in the film. This movie left an indelible mark not only because it’s based on a true story but because it was... dark. If this is even a mild phobia for you, I strongly advise you read a synopsis before watching just to gauge how you feel about it.

You don’t see them being used, but discarded syringes are shown scattered on the floor in one scene.

Depends on your view. This movie is rather bleak. (*SPOILER*) The people responsible did not face charges, trafficking more than likely continued, and there was a death as a result of the investigation, however, the story did get out which is it’s own form of justice.
