The inciting incident of the story is when a woman's severed head is displayed in a central part of Fabletown. The initial motivation for placing it there appears to be spectacle

[SPOILERS] In one of the final scenes, you engage in a verbal battle with a character who is attempting to manipulate the jury onto his side. He's done objectively horrible things, but he guilts them and spins it in a way that makes them question if he's actually as bad as he seems or if he was their saviour, despite being the cause of all their problems. It's a very good example of gaslighting because it can even make the player question if they've made the right decisions.

There are some "animals" put in sad situations like Mr. Toad, Toad Jr, etc. However, they can all talk and are fully intelligent, sapient creatures placed in modern/urban predicaments

I've only played episode 1 so far but there are already two offscreen decapitations with gory heads onscreen, the Woodsman getting an ax slashed through his head, and the ability to tear a beast's arm off (although you can spare him).

When asking to the magic mirror about the woodsman two times, you'll see the woodsman "panting", "catching their breath" or "finishing puking". You really can't tell but judging by him being drunk before..... yeah.

Though Bigby is described as a "sheriff", the work he does is much more decentralized and fantastical; he's more of a defacto peacekeeper/detective for a community of fables. The actual police officers are depicted as a mundane obstacle in the story.

Some characters are shown to be a bit "unhinged" in how much they revel in violence, but aren't acting under the effects of psychosis or some clear, established mental disorder.

A scene in the game is light by flashing police lights. The scene is in slow motion, but could still potentially trigger an epileptic attack.

An older-looking adult creepily lusts after a younger adult, but given that the characters are fables, they're all centuries old and their chronological age gaps are likely irrelevant.

Nothing graphic but there is a brief explanation of one character's father finding his daughter attractive and him planning to marry her. It's only mentioned once and the daughter doesn't end up with her father but I feel like it may be unsettling to hear.

Depends on how you feel about the relationship between the two main characters. Regardless, while the conflict has been solved, we're left with a main character who hardly seems better off for all the strife he went through. It's not a truly happy ending, that's for sure.

This game is very, very heavy on gore. Limbs are ripped off, exposed bones are shown, and a character gets multiple rounds of buckshot in their chest. In fact, one of the main plot points is that it's extremely hard to kill all of the characters in this game, so when they are injured, it's not a pretty sight. You as the player commit about half the violence in the game, and innocent seeming choices can sometimes lead to violence, so even trying to play a pacifist route can be difficult.
