Bringing up baby has the Girls take care of an old prize winning pig, standing to inherit 100,000 when he dies. A theme of the episode is the ethical question of trying to save an old pig, or letting it die for greedy reasons. They all come to their senses at the end

There is only one episode in the entire show where someone vomits, it’s season 3 episode 22 at the end. You don’t see or hear it, the guy is on a boat and you see him bend over the edge (implying he’s vomiting) and rose pats his back, and then the scene ends.

Spoilers

This isn’t shown on-screen and is more so implied, but still played in a tragic light and was definitely not intended to be racist; In Season 3, Episode 1, Sophia befriends a black man named Alvin, and they sit together on a boardwalk bench every day for two months. One morning, Alvin walks over and doesn’t seem to recognize Sophia, and starts yelling at her. He also doesn’t remember this the next day. Dorothy follows Sophia to the boardwalk the next day and meets Alvin’s daughter, learning that Alvin has Alzheimer’s disease and will be transported to a New York hospital in two weeks, and knowing the living expectancy of those with such a disease, unfortunately it is likely that he will be outlived by Sophia.

"Ebbtide's Revenge": A character with an affinity for crossdressing dies. It is never clear what his gender or sexuality was, as he had a wife and children but is referred to as "queer". His crossdressing is the subject of many jokes but by the end accepted by his loved ones.

Sophia’s son is often joked at due to wearing feminine clothing. There are many “man in a dress” jokes about him, even at his funeral.

Also season 7, episode 5, Blanche dates a man who wears a dress at the end of the episode and she rejects him because of it, and Dorothy makes jokes about him.

The end is bittersweet- a character gets married but has to leave the house and the last shot is the remaining girls being sad over her departure.

There is an episode where Blanche mentions she was in a car accident after trying to get a man’s attention. She is not harmed in it.
There is also an episode where Sophia is in an accident while trying to drive and is taken to the police station.

A character shoots at what she believes to be an intruder, but has awful aim and no one is hurt.
