A “breathing hole” for parasites is shown a couple times throughout the movie. It may be upsetting as it is a small hole in the skin that a small parasitic worm uses to breathe. You see a worm appear from within said hole several different times throughout.
Yes and no. It isn’t really self harm, but a character at one point does attempt to extract the parasite from themselves with a hot needle. Very brief scene
