A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
TV Show • 2026 • Fantasy
ReportSynopsis
A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros: a young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg.
Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits await these improbable and incomparable friends.

It is shown that Dunk’s adoptive father figure hit him a lot. Kind of played for laughs. He adores him despite this.

A horse is seemingly purposefully speared through the neck (~18:43). There is spurting blood, sounds of suffering, & panicked behavior. The scene ends (~19:55) with a man putting the horse down to end it's suffering. This is not shown, but according to subtitles that say "axe thudding" it's heard(?) (but I couldn't hear it).

Implied. Egg mentions Aerion having thrown his cat down the well, but nothing is shown and it isn’t confirmed if this did in fact happen or not, just that Egg thinks he did.

His brother is 2 years older than him in the book. He appears quite a bit older in the show, but it is unclear how old he is. Voting no, but good to be aware.

Audio only—and fairly faint. Egg is sitting in a tree singing. Somewhere out of view behind him, Dunk audibly v* a few times. Not super noticeable at first.
Comes right after a scene with Egg brushing a horse. Mute after Dunk says "odd that you're telling me" (around 8:20 in the version that has a preview for another HBO show first). Keep muted until Dunk enters the next scene and starts talking to Egg, after which it's safe.
