After the human race has been wiped out, Del lives in an empty town, content in his solitude and the utopia he has methodically created for himself, until he meets young Grace, who wants to stay with him.
This movie contains 13 potentially triggering events.
Though not technically a child, one of the characters is an older teenager (probably around 17/18) who has been treated badly and in controlling ways by parental/authority figures.
While no one is explicitly abusing alcohol, a fair bit of it is consumed by characters throughout the movie and one character possibly has a bit too much in one scene.
The main character fishes for a lot of his food, so while we don't see him directly killing the fish, we do see the fish that have been caught, and then him cleaning/filleting the fish that are already dead.
We don't see the death happening, but one of the main characters discusses the death of her parents, and we see the body (not gory/gruesome) of another person who we assume to be a caregiver/parental figure of the second main character.
Later in the movie another parental/authority figure (not an actual parent) dies.
While not technically in a hospital, one character is seen in a bed hooked up to medical monitors/equipment while healing from a medical procedure. And surgery scars can be seen, raw/fresh here, and healed earlier on in the film.
There is implied sexual content. Two of the characters kiss briefly, and one of them wakes up in the other character's bed, implying that they did more than kiss.
We don't actually see the car crash, but see the car shortly after it's crashed with the driver inside, injured (knocked unconscious, minor blood) but otherwise okay.
