[SPOILER AHEAD]
There is a primary story line with a young boy called Credence. He is an obscurial (an obscurus lives inside of him). During the final big scenes he destroys a big part of New York and gets chased into an underground station by several other characters. While Newt and Tina try to calm Credence down, he is manipulated by Percival Graves. This leads to Credence losing control over himself and he turns into his obscurus form again, after being almost calmed down. Shortly after many aurors arrive and attack Credence. He is believed to have died from the attack.

This is a primary storyline of the main character Credence. The actual abuse is not shown on screen, but the lead-up and the physical aftermath is shown.

There is a woman that adopted many children. It is mentioned that she abuses these children. There are two scenes where Credence takes his belt of and gives it to the woman. It's heavily implied that she hits Credence (and Modesty, his sister) with the belt.

I spent the entire movie looking for the spiders that others clicked the "yes" button for, but never saw them. There are indeed crawlies that are similar to real world animals or combinations of real world animals, but none that bothered my severe fear of spiders like a few of the Harry Potter movies did.

There are animals which have a „body“ like a snake and the head is a dragon. You can see them a few times during the movie. But I have a severe phobia and I was able to watch it.

There is a main character called Credence. He is emotionally abused by several people, including a person from the American Ministry of Magic(Percival Graves). During almost all of the scenes with Credence and Percival Graves we see Credence breathing heavily and fast due to fear and emotional pain.

A character called Credence is an obscurial (an obscurus lives inside of him). The obscurus is a separate part from the person and is dangerous. However, Newt explains that an obscurus develops because a person suppresses their magical powers. So Credence is not directly possessed. The way the obscurus is shown is still pretty similar to someone being possessed (not being able to control themselves, etc.).

You could say that Credence being an obscurial (an obscurus lives inside of him) is some form of dissociation, depersonalisation or derealization. But in the movie it is stated that an obscurus develops because a person suppresses their magical powers. So there was no intention to present dissociation, depersonalisation or derealization.

Not exactly hate speech, but there is derogatory language and attitude used towards characters of lower class/heavy religious background, most notably the word 'freak'.

Sort of. Credence, as a result of PTSD from years of abuse from his adoptive mother, has developed an Obscurus, which is what happens when a young witch or wizard tries to suppress their magic for too long instead of controlling it. It’s mentioned that those with an obscurus don’t usually live past the age of 10, but Credence is roughly 18 to mid-20s. The fact he has it in the following two movies and, in movie 3, appears to be dying indicates it’s incurable.
