Mostly described between the brothers in the past and towards the mothers when the characters were younger. Then about people who used to live on the town. Some very violent. The brothers end up admitting to being beaten by their dad. Then towards the end the brother you think is stable beats up his brother with a croquet club for a long time.

It doesn't have a happy anything . I mean if you count having your sort of friends baby who you cheated on your husband with and everyone knows because the guy blurted it out at a bar b que and your husband finally admitted he can't have kids then they happen to see each other and everyone seems fine and the brother went awol then showed up then disappeared and is probably dead but who knows. No its not happy
