The main character's parents neglected him and sent him to work at a young age. He seems to have spent some of his life living in the wilderness.

part of a character's backstory is his mistreatment by his family and the boarding school they sent him to. his mother hit him once, and its implied that hitting was commonplace at the boarding school

The main character, Iruma, has a (mostly unseen) backstory of neglect and non-sexual exploitation by his parents from a very young age. They eventually sell him to a demon, which kickstarts the plot of the series. The demon adopts him as a grandson, and it's often noted how much better his life is in this situation.

no, but part of the premise is that the main character has to be cautious that he's not discovered as being a human, as they are thought of as delicacies by the humanoid demons (though the existence of humans is disputed)

Honestly there is very little to no fan service in the anime. There are a few things that could be triggering: -there is a succubus class (nothing NSFW is shown or even talked about)
- two of the female characters who are minors look like adults (are physically taller and bigger almost comically so)
-there is an owl character who is very into woman however, he doesn't try to touch them without their permission (he says kinda gross lines like "I'll be your hero" ex)
Keep in mind I've only watched the sub so I'm not sure how things are handled in the dub.

The society is extremely ableist to demons who have little to no magic, to the point where they are actively discriminated against, and it causes their "rank" (which is a position in the caste system that is determined by ability) lower. There is a character that has health problems because he has next to no magic, and he is treated horribly. Lower-ranked demons are discriminated against and abused. The main character is pushed off of a cliff by a teacher, but unlike demons, he has no wings because he's human. A character is made to feel ashamed of the disfiguration of his face. That same character is bullied and ostracized for autistic behaviors. One of the main characters is used and abused by someone, where she is forced to give them snacks and drinks and things in order for them to "play" with her, but what they do is extremely degrading. They make her fetch a bone like a dog, and when "playing" hide and go seek, they tell the ADHD and autisctic-coded character to count to 50,000. She actually does it. So, if ableism bothers you, this might put you off, but the disabled characters are shown in a positive light by the narrative (except one of the villans, because he's a villain, but his disability doesn't stop his villany.) The ADHD and autistic-coded main character is treated as an equal by her classmates, and many people warm up to the autistic-coded character with the facial disfiguration.

iruma dresses as a girl and his love interest freaks out, while it is just a gag she still isnt portrayed as in the right which is good. his dressing as a girl while used as a joke is handled respectively enough and he comes around to kind of enjoy it and its wholesome

No, but the fandom consistantly misgenders Opera, who is nonbinary and uses they/them as their pronouns. Be wary when consuming fan content.

The succubus I guess?? The show is very tame with little to no fan service but keep in mind two minor female characters look like adults (almost comically so they are literally physically bigger than their classmates)

No, there is a comment where the cat girls dad says "when she was little she asked to marry me" but it's played off as him being wistful about her growing up. Keep this in mind if it's triggering for you though.
