Yes. Fair warning the main character has a large background of child abuse and mental abuse. This is shown in flashbacks a lot.
There's a couple of occasions where said character gets slapped by his mentor figure when in the middle of a breakdown or just general abuse as a theme and gaslighting.

One of the main themes of this series is the cycle of abuse. This happens with MULTIPLE characters. And these arcs are revealed throughout the entire series. If this is triggering to you, do not watch. It’s a major major theme and is touched upon in nearly every episode. Some cycles include: The original mafia boss abused Kouyou, and she goes on to abuse Kyouka. Mori, the current mafia boss, abused Dazai. Dazai abused Akutagawa. Akutagawa also abused Kyouka. Kyouka manages to escape and put an end to this cycle, as does Dazai, but there are multiple characters who don’t/haven’t yet escaped this cycle, which can be particularly upsetting.

It is quite unclear. One of the main villains in the show is a pedophile and he used to work with a member of the detective agency when she was a child. Said member was emotionally abused by him and harbours intense anger and fear towards him. There is a possibility of past sexual assault but it is hinted at. In relation to the pedophile character, it is unclear weather he has ever acted on his desires but he is a caretaker for a young girl so his affection for her may be disturbing to viewers.

The main villain is a pedophile, but there are jokes made about it. He may have had 3-2 victims in total, if you count the boy he abused. It's not outright mentioned, but his likes include "young girls." (Gross.)

The plot of the manga revolves around "the Book", a book in which whatever one writes becomes reality. This book is more prominent beginning the fourth season. One of the spin off series, BEAST, is based completely on the concept of a secondary universe being written into this book.

Two characters, Tanizaki and Naomi, refer to each other as brother and sister despite making romantic advances on each other. This is actually a reference to a book written by the real Tanizaki titled 'Naomi' where the protagonist and his love interest use the excuse that they are cousins when spending time together to avoid societal scrutiny for their age gap. While not exactly vindicating, if the inspirations for their characters hold true, Tanizaki and Naomi are not actually siblings.

An Orphanage Director was hit by a truck and dies. Episode 31 is split into two parts (Part 1: Herurisu! / Part 2: Portrait of a Father) and the second part is centred around this death. There is also a scene where a boy with supernatural strength picks up a car and throws it into the side of a building and at some people.
