Television, in a rather subtle twist; Max Renn, the protagonist, stumbles upon Videodrome (the titular snuff TV porn), and begins suffering surreal, trippy hallucinations, to the point where it sometimes becomes difficult to distinguish them from reality. Eventually, it's revealed that the creators behind Videodrome insert a signal in the show that'll give people who watch it brain tumors, deliberately killing people to seek hardcore pornography, hoping to create an anti-porn America.
