Synopsis

The Doom Patrol’s members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities — but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence — and to protect Earth from what they find.

S2 House sized Tarantula is a recurring minor character, one of it's powers is it can shift through walls and does this a couple of times as a jumpscare.

Has a very realistic design, especially the face BUT it speaks with a NY accent which mitigates the fear IMO but only slightly

Episode 1 "Pilot" during Rita's flashback one of the onlookers vomits in response to her face, this is easy to see coming.

Episode 5 "Paw Patrol" three times in this episode, Jane vomits after being choked on the medical table, and later when the Chief shows back up and starts eating candy bars, he vomits twice when the team says Mr. Nobody.

Episode 10 "Hair Patrol" Slava vomits after she gets sick while tending to Niles. He warns her that he's sick and she could get it and it happens just a moment later.

Season 3 Episode 3 "Dead Patrol" Near the end of the episode, as they all get into the ship, a woman is challenged to "spit on this" and proceeds to projectile vomit into the air where it rains down onto the cast. As someone else said, very unrealistic, like acid spray from a monster.

Season 3 Episode 4 "Undead Patrol" During the episode recap, it shows the clip from Dead Patrol. About 11 minutes into the episode, a character clutches at his stomach and indicates he feels sick. After the cut, he enters into a separate room and is sick into a bucket. There is limited visual of it happening, but the shot cuts to the blue-black slime inside a bucket, briefly. Again at the end of the episode around 48 minutes, the same character is sick in an almost identical shot, very quick, fairly mild, with visual.

Season 3 Episode 5 "Dada Patrol" During the episode recap, it shows the clip from the end of Undead Patrol.

in episode 3 at 12:34, there's nothing graphic or imagery related to suicide involved but it involves Jane yelling "I'm going to kill myself" and then trying to jump out of one of the bus windows before Larry and everyone stop her. It's played as a joke and Cliff laughs before realizing she's serious and helping to stop her.

One of the main characters—who has DID—calls herself Crazy Jane. A few other members of the main cast refer to her as such, and also tend to initially call her Jane regardless of which alter is fronting and refer to her as a singular person.

*However,* this comes off more as reclaiming an insult and a group of well-meaning people not knowing any better, respectively—than outright ableism.

As the second person in this thread said, most of the other characters are allegories for people dealing with physical disabilities and mental illness.

There is some overt, intentional ableism—but it comes from the antagonists, not the main characters.

I get the feeling that the first person on this thread may not have gotten through the pilot episode—which is fine, but for anyone else reading: there’s some pretty great disability representation.

there is a scene of two characters having sex, a man cheating on his wife. we see his b**t a b**b and some thrusting but no shots of anything more explicit . lots of moaning though, its a bit uncomfortable to watch but its a short scene. there is another similar scene later in the episode but its even shorter.
