There's a recurring character who is a criminal psychologist and is often seen interviewing serial murderers. They're in custody and are very likely incarcerated however there isn't much information regarding their current living situations.
Incarceration and prison are a frequent subject and setting Ep50 and on
Multiple characters have their memories questioned and even overwritten, or find themselves unable to discern between their memories and reality. One particular character regularly acts the victim despite hurting others, and shifts blame accordingly. The entirety of Kinderheim, an orphanage prominent in the story that reprograms the minds of children, could apply to this as well.
Children being abused is a major aspect of the plot (though a lot of it is psychological and not shown directly) so it is hard to make a complete list.
In episode 11, a boy is physically abused by his foster father off-screen. The main character finds him to be covered in bruises, with broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder.
In episode 19, we hear a recording of a character describing that he was physically abused by his mother.
In episode 67, a character describes a childhood experience of being locked in a dark room for several days.
In episode 68, a boy is physically abused off-screen by his alcoholic father.
For those comcerned with alcoholism/relapse, Ep27 follows a recovering alcoholic who is triggered consistently throughout the episode. There are a few scenes that are pretty immersive from the point of view of an addict. He does not relapse.
As a warning, there is a scene in ep. 49 where a minor is forced to watch intercourse. While the act is "skipped", it might still be quite triggering esp. if you're not ready.
Putting it in the "assault" section, as its the one that sounded most fitting.
Ep42 is pretty brutal as someone is interrogated with various torture methods including beatings, being tied up, finger mutilation, and threatened waterboarding. They do not die.
Certain cuts can be sudden, but they are just abrupt and not scary or loud. The show is a thriller so tension can be high and that could contribute, usually you can tell before it happens from camera angles and the soundtrack.
YES, there are, twice.
1º - In the middle of episode 48, after a inspector's vacation came up in a conversation, you'll hear music and some shots of a city are shown. After some street musicians, there is a puppet with a clown's face playing a guittar. You can just wait for the applause's sound, when it start is already safe to look.
2º - Close to the middle of the episode 56, a female character will faint and the scene fades. After it, two puppets (these two are safe to look at) appears and one of them is killed by the other. You'll hear the applause sound, that's your signal, during that sound the clown puppet is showed again. Just wait for the applauses cease completely and you'll be safe.
I hope this helps
not outright, but it is hinted towards (whether its cannon or not) that our main villain has been possessed by a mysterious force and does not control his actions.
EP19 There's a large creepy doll that may be triggering for those who are concerned about this one. Ep55 has some creepy marionettes that may resemble mannequins
Anesthetics are used a few times as a hospital is a repeated setting, usually via an IV and not via syringes. Said Anesthetics are not shown being inserted or removed, only mentioned or in the background already attached.
Episode 10 shows a man commit suicide.
Episode 25 and 29 feature supposed suicides, 25 shows the aftermath but 29 is only the lead up but doesn't show it or the aftermath. There is no confirmation whether they are staged or legitimate though.
During the middle episodes (probs. around ep 40) there are some scenes of people chewing or making noises that could be considered misophonia-inducing.
EP59 A character asks to be shot while drunk and ends up okay. A similar situation happens in a flashback where a separate character asks to be shot. After being left alone we don't see it, but there's a gunshot.
EP62 it is mentioned there were multiple suicides years prior including a character's son. It isn't shown.
No. A main antagonist dresses as a woman several times to impersonate his sister, but it's played dead serious, not as a joke or as something perverted. It's just a disguise to hide his identity while gathering information. In these scenes, he's drawn/animated to look exactly the same as his sister, not as a 'man in a dress' caricature. To the audience, there's no visual clues it's him until it's directly revealed. He seems to pass without a problem - guys think he's an attractive woman, and a character who spends more time with him goes in for a kiss but is turned down, but it's not framed as emasculating or embarassing for them.
A main character (young woman) gets mistaken for a sex worker in one episode and generally gets a lot of unwanted attention from men in the form of stares and comments.
EP19 A serial killer is said to have sexually assaulted victims before killing them. Ep49 it is implied that a sex worker is assaulted by a demanding client all in front of a child.
Someone dies of a stroke and the family is shown grieving and accusing the doctor who didn't operate on him for killing him. I lost someone to medical malpractice after a stroke. This was hard to watch.
