This movie contains 17 potentially triggering events.
It's somewhat simulated. The father is accused of hitting his daughter but it's a trick of the demon and he does not. However, there are slapping noises and the daughter cries very believably.
The spirit/demon makes it look like the father hit the youngest girl and the older sister sees it from behind and assumes he did. The mother sees bruises later and also assumes he did, but he did not.
There is a bug in one of the daughters' beds. Bugs fly out of a medicine cabinet as a girl brushes her teeth. In the next scene, her sister is in a room swarming with them. Later, a bug crawls out of a girl's throat.
There's some broken glass that the mom steps on and the youngest daughter holds up a shard of glass to stab her but ultimately drops it. The wounds aren't shown.
The spirit/demon thing makes a few people flail around in a vaguely seizure like manner and toward the end the youngest daughter has what looks like a seizure (probably caused by the thing possessing her).
Which parent died? The old lady at the beginning was injured. Emily sees her through the window when they’re at the yard sale. Both main character parents live.
A lot of gagging from the little girl that will make you feel pretty confident she'll v*. But know that she never does. Some triggering gag noises though.
