Spoiler:
The dog in the story does not die, but there is a dog's body that is used to make the characters think the dog has died. Only a paw is shown.
Separately a pet of a character has passed off-screen and grief is discussed.
A victim is set up to look like he's committed suicide but it's later revealed he was murdered in revenge of someone who did commit suicide in the past (not shown just talked about)
You only see gore after it has happened except in S1 ep 4. A woman is chosen from the crowd at a magic show to go into a room with spikes. The trick goes wrong and you see a lot of blood coming from the stage. It’s really easy to just skip it by starting after the theme tune. The plot still works bc you hear about the incident.
In the Chameleon’s Dish, a young man with mental illness is the prime suspect for a murder and strangled his ex girlfriend (he is provoked and she lives).
It’s not stated what his mental illness is, but in The Chameleon’s Dish, a young man has mental health issues including flashbacks to finding his mothers dead body when he was 4.
Sort of. Hunger for Bread includes a lot of disordered eating, weight loss attempts, and diet culture. The episode overall remains neutral, with no messages about weight, but if you have eating problems it might be triggering.
Aside from the one exception of a mentally ill character played by a probably not mentally ill actor (as far as I can see on Google), the disability rep is pretty good. This one is The Chameleon’s dish if you wanna skip it
Not specified what, but in the chameleons dish, a character is implied to have some kind of dissociative disorder and is violent and it’s pretty bad representation.
