When a huge hurricane hits her hometown in Florida, Haley ignores evacuation orders to look for her father. After finding him badly wounded, both are trapped by the flood. With virtually no time to escape the storm, they discover that rising water levels are the least of their problems.
This movie contains 29 potentially triggering events.
Some people might read the dad's overbearingness and drive to push her quite abusive, but there is no physical abuse shown. There are verbal scenes of him coaching her in a very aggressive manner which could be triggering.
Hmmm... There are gashes galore from alligator attacks, an alligator is stabbed repeatedly with a screwdriver (twisted around in its eye), and another alligator is chopped/cut to death with a spade. No shaving.
Tons of gore, no clue why anyone voted no. People getting eaten, limbs ripped off, bones breaking, tons of blood... very violent depictions of animal attacks.
For once- there is a woman in a bathing suit and wet clothes the whole movie and she's never once sexualized... great job by the whole team... about time!
I wouldn't call it an ambiguous ending. ----- SPOILER ----- SPOILER ----- SPOILER ----- SPOILER ----- Our two main characters (three, if you count the dog) make it out alive and are rescued. The last facial expression we see is a smile of relief, pride and love.
